YOUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: WHAT CAMERA EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
A: I am currently working with a Nikon D5200.
As for objectives I use 3:
· Nikon DX AF-S Zoom Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED. It is the basic zoom that comes with the camera, perfect to start with.
· Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G. It is my favorite and I use it for photographs with a “human eye” effect.
· Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G. Ideal for details of textures, because in my DSLR camera it makes a macro effect.

Q: WHERE DID YOU LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY?
A: I studied photography in Art School, where I learned the basics of how to shoot with both analog and digital cameras and used Photoshop to edit the photos or develop them in a dark room (that was very cool!).
When I went to Design School I also did some photography, but it was more related to how to use editing programs focused on graphic design.
With the birth of this blog, I started to practice again learning more and more in a self-taught way.
Practice is the key to learning how to use your gear, style the food, and ultimately edit your photos.
Q: WHICH EDITING PROGRAMS DO YOU USE TO EDIT YOUR PICTURES?
A: I use several programs according to the needs:
· Capture One helps me work with photo sessions more smoothly since I often do tethering. Also, once the photos are sorted, I edit them there.
· I use Photoshop as a complement to Capture One for small specific touch-ups at the end of the edition.
· Lightroom App I use it to quickly edit small details on my iPhone.
· Template App is perfect to create IG Stories.
· Instories App is ideal to create Reels and TikToks.
· DaVinci Resolve I use it for video editing on my iMac.
Q: WHAT KIND OF LIGHT SETUP DO YOU USE?
A: Many times I use natural light, it is the light I feel most comfortable with because I started working that way from the beginning. In any case, I currently have a Godox SL-60W studio-led light and I am experimenting more and more getting used to the new possibilities it brings me.
*In the shop section you will see the purchase links for my artificial light equipment.
Q: WHERE DO YOU TAKE ALL YOUR PHOTOS?
A: The making of all the digital content you see is created in a little set at my house. There is where I have the light under control, since I know the path of natural light depending on the seasons of the year, and it is also where I set up the artificial light set when I need it.
Q: DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN BAKERY?
A: At the moment it does not exist. I have been dreaming of such a project for years, even several opportunities have come my way, but currently, it is not my main goal. Who knows if in the future life will surprise us?
Q: DO YOU TEACH PRESENTIAL CLASSES?
For now, it is not something that I have considered, but in the future, I do not rule out the possibility of sharing my knowledge beyond this blog, either in person or online.
Q: I’M THINKING OF GOING TO PASTRY SCHOOL, IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE ME?
A: If you have decided to learn a new profession in the culinary arts, it really depends on your work discipline, the desire you have to learn and improve yourself every day, how strong your body and mind are to keep up with the pace of work and how much you know about the tough but beautiful pastry industry. From my point of view, in Barcelona, there are a few schools that I like: Escuela de Hostelería Hofmann (where I studied), Escola del Gremi de Pastissers de Barcelona, and also CETT.
On the other hand, if you just want to have fun and learn more about pastry as a hobby, then go for it! There are many other schools with quality teaching that are focused on a non-professional audience, where you will still learn a lot.
Q: WHO EATS EVERYTHING YOU MAKE?
A: This is definitely the question I get the most! Most of the time I just eat a small part of it, and the rest goes to my family and friends. So, normally it doesn’t even last two days hahaha.
