ALOHA, I’M JUD!
Barcelona based pastry chef, food photographer and stylist, educator and blogger.
I’m Jud, from Barcelona, where I studied an Interior Design Diploma at Escola d’Art Superior de Disseny Llotja, following my instinct of wanting to create new spaces with style and functionality. Later, when I moved to London, I discovered my true passion, baking. When I came back to Barcelona in 2015 I started this blog with the intention of sharing my new hobby with the world.
After a few years, I began to feel the need to improve my culinary techniques and studied professional pastry at Escuela de Hostelería Hofmann. Next, I moved to Girona where I worked with Rocambolesc team directed by Jordi Roca, making delicious ice creams and chocolate pieces. When I returned to Barcelona I joined Cookify team as a pastry chef and recipe developer, creating audiovisual content for big gastronomic brands in different countries. I also had the honor of being part of Jordi Bordas‘s team, where I worked with chocolate and panettone. There is where I learned the great importance of the current evolution towards a healthier pastry for everyone.
I am passionate about the science behind baking, and along with my constant desire to learn more about baking every day, I studied Science and Cooking (chemistry) at Harvard University online during the pandemic.
Currently, I continue writing my blog where I share with you my little tricks for a more professional result in your own kitchen. For me, a good dessert first has to enter through the eyes and above all, when people enjoy it, it has to make them feel happiness through their senses.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I like to travel the world and discover new flavours, read and go to music festivals, the circus world and handcraft markets.
